About
The Molecule Mentor offers personalised, in-person tutoring in Chemistry and Biology in Maitland and surrounding areas, as well as online sessions for those who can't make it in person.
All tutoring is conducted by Dr. Meredith Wilkes, a PhD in Agricultural Chemistry and author of the textbook Comprehending Chemistry, which aligns with both HSC and VCE curricula. Her tutoring sessions draw on her broad academic knowledge and hands-on research experience to help you excel in the chemical and biological sciences.

The Molecule Mentor can provide tutoring and bridging services for students at university who are struggling or who have not done Chemistry at school

Payments can be made electronically or in cash
Special rates are available for 5 x 1 hr sessions, or you can simply pay as you go

Chemistry textbooks
Comprehending Chemistry
Comprehending Chemistry is published by Five Senses Education and follows the HSC and VCE courses. Each module/area of study is composed of clearly identified topics which are broken down into the key learning points.
Dr Meredith Wilkes understands many students are visual learners, so links to many videos and resources for each topic are included in the LOOK and LEARN section. Meredith also subscribes to the education theory of learn by doing, and there are plenty of experiments designed to illustrate and complement the theory. Most experiments can be performed at home – just remember to take all the necessary precautions!
